Who we are
Our mission is to build a better future in line with the principles of responsibility and in cooperation with our customers.
MuniFin (Municipality Finance Plc) is one of Finland’s largest credit institutions: the company’s balance sheet totals EUR 44 billion. The company is owned by Finnish municipalities, the public sector pension fund Keva and the Republic of Finland.
The Municipality Finance Group also includes a subsidiary company, Financial Advisory Services Inspira Ltd.
How we work
Our lending is offered exclusively to Finnish municipalities, their majority-owned companies, joint municipal authorities, and non-profit housing organisations.
Our funding originates from international capital markets where we cooperate with a worldwide network of institutional partners and financial organisations. All of our funding is guaranteed by the Municipal Guarantee Board.
MuniFin’s credit ratings are directly linked to those of the sovereign of Finland: Aa1 from Moody’s and AA+ from Standard & Poor’s.
Our service offering includes loans and leasing, risk management, analysis and reporting solutions and financial advisory services.
